Solution

Our solution to a lack of universal parental controls is an interface which tracks all of these. There can be one program which keeps track of all the hours of games played across all registered consoles without need for direct parent input. A parent can adjust how many hours can be played across all consoles, and be notified when the amount of time played on them goes over their limit. This interface could also collect information on the kinds of games the kids are playing; parents can see if their kids are playing a lot of violent games, mature games, which consoles they’re playing most on, and more. This lets parents make sure that their kids aren’t going too wild on games, while kids don’t have to worry as much about their parents constantly hovering over their shoulder.
