Metaphors:

 

Checking time left:

 

– Analog time counting down as long as kids are playing a game they’re timed for. A stop watch is a different look

 

– A bar filling up depending on how long the console has been played for.

 

Setting restrictions:

 

– Cartoony images of caution tape or chains for the idea of restriction – good for the parents if they don’t like games.

 

– A sunlight, outside theme to support the idea that limiting playing video games will encourage them to go outside.
